Ferrero Farming Values Turkey

Turkey is the world’s largest producer of hazelnuts. It has a particularly fragmented supply chain, with hazelnuts often grown on small family orchards.

The country’s agricultural sector has specific challenges across different crops, including hazelnuts. This involves the need to improve working conditions, especially for seasonal workers, to tackle social issues such as child labour. Addressing challenges like these requires a long term and collective response.

Ferrero Farming Values (FFV) Turkey has been active since 2012 and includes a team of more than 100 people.

Our programme aims to improve agricultural and social practices, including the prevention of child labour and enhancing traceability. We partner with other stakeholders, including NGOs and local communities, to work with Turkish hazelnut farmers to put these actions into practice.
